On the final day of the presentation of the Environmental Photography Award exhibition at IE University in Madrid, on Tuesday 30 January 2024, the Foundation's Spanish branch, in conjunction with the Fundación Instituto de Empresa (IE Foundation), organised a conference for the students entitled "Changemakers for climate: the power of the youth".
The event, initiated by Carol Portabella, President of the Spanish branch of the Foundation, and Gonzalo Garland, Executive Vice-President of the IE Foundation, aimed to inspire the public and raise awareness of environmental issues.
Following their introductory speeches and a welcome address by Geoffroy Gérard, General Director of the IE Foundation, several speakers were invited to share their experiences: the two scholarship holders in the programme supported by the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation to promote sustainable development, Margherita Storchi (Master in International Development) and Yelyzaveta Adova (Master in Strategic Marketing and Communication), activist Olivia Mandle, a member of the Re. Generation Future Leaders Program and Javier Goyeneche, founder of Ecoalf and member of the Spanish branch of the Foundation.
A time for debate and exchange that won over the audience.
