Ball in Monaco Glacier Edition Raises Record-Breaking Funds

The prestigious Ball in Monaco Glacier Edition, hosted by the Singaporean branch of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, was held last night at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. The event, held under the patronage of His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco, brought together esteemed guests and philanthropists to support the Foundation’s actions.

In the presence of the Sovereign and guest of honor, H.E. Mr. Vivian Balakrishnan, Singapore's Minister of Foreign Affairs, the evening was marked by an extraordinary auction that raised a remarkable 5 million Singapore dollars. These funds will be directed towards the Foundation's critical initiatives focused on environmental protection, endangered species conservation, clean water access, and sustainable development.

HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco emphasized the urgency of collective action: "Because now, more than ever, we must act, given the increasingly alarming state of our Planet. We can all see the extent to which its condition is deteriorating, especially in the Polar regions which bring us together this evening and with which I am intimately familiar, having travelled there personally. (...) Far from being discouraged, these observations prompt us to take action with greater determination than ever before. Your presence and support this evening strengthen our resolve and encourage us to persevere."

The Foundation extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Singaporean branch, led by Mrs. Jacky Deromedi, President, Mr. Jean-Marc Arnaud Deromedi, Consul of Monaco, and Mrs. Sophie Arnaud Deromedi, for their tireless efforts in organizing such a successful event.

Adding to the evening's elegance, a stunning fashion show presented by sustainability-driven French designer, Ms. Anne Fontaine, showcased the intersection of style and sustainability.

A special highlight of the auction was a unique timepiece by renowned watchmaker F.P. Journe. This one-of-a-kind creation garnered significant interest and set a new record, further contributing to the evening's impressive fundraising total.
