Two members of the REGEN 2024 cohort, Ali Alabyadh and Ezequiel Vedana recently participated in the Blue Earth Summit, a global gathering of environmental innovators. Held in London from October 16-18, this summit aims to find and fund solutions for regenerating our planet.
Ali Alabyadh spoke on the "Future of Oceans" panel. His talk highlighted the critical role of corals in maintaining the delicate balance of marine ecosystems. Drawing from his personal experiences, Ali emphasized the fragility of the underwater world and the urgent need for conservation efforts. Joining him on the panel were renowned ocean advocates Ellie Simmonds and Hanli Prinsloo.
Ezequiel Vedana participated in the "Future of Water: Solutions for Scarcity & Sewage" panel. He discussed the importance of adopting more sustainable consumption habits and the economic benefits of responsible water management. Ezequiel's insights provided valuable perspectives on addressing the global water crisis.
Beyond his participation in the summit, Ezequiel also had the opportunity to be interviewed by the BBC for a forthcoming podcast. In the interview, he shared his thoughts on how young people can reach their full potential.
