Edmond de Rothschild Monaco donates 200,000 euros to the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation

On 19 December, the Edmond de Rothschild Monaco bank presented a cheque for 200,000 euros to the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, in the presence of the Sovereign Prince.

Last May, Edmond de Rothschild Monaco made a commitment to the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation by launching a fundraising operation called "Investing in & contributing to a better world".

The bank offered its customers a 100% capital-guaranteed investment solution, with all brokerage fees transferred to the Foundation. Subscribers were also given the opportunity to decide what percentage of the investment - between 0.5% and 3% of the amount invested - they would donate to the Foundation, if they so wished.

Thanks to the kindness of its clients, Edmond de Rothschild Monaco was able to make a donation of 170,000 euros. The bank added another 30,000 euros, bringing the total donation to 200,000 euros.

 A cheque presentation ceremony was held in the presence of HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco and was attended by around fifty subscribers along with the teams from Edmond de Rothschild Monaco and the Prince Albert II Foundation.  

Gérard OHRESSER, CEO of Edmond de Rothschild Monaco, praised this joint initiative and the commitment of the Private Bank's clients to environmental sustainability.

Michael MENNELLA, Head of Private Banking, who was behind the initiative, was delighted with the success of the operation: "We were keen to initiate a local project in line with the family's age-old aspirations.
