Just a few days ahead of the World Climate March, which will take place on Sunday 29th November 2015, the route across Monaco has now been defined.
The aim of this initiative, organised as a prelude to the Conference of Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP 21 in Paris), is to make the public and decision-makers aware of the urgent need for concerted action to combat the effects of climate change.
All participants are asked to assemble in the Palace Square at 10.45 am. The march will begin at 11 am, led by H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, in the presence of various prominent figures based on the the following itinerary (Monaco-Ville, Quai Antoine I- Rue Princesse Caroline- Rue Grimaldi- Boulevard Charles III –Louis II Stadium) :
All participants will be served refreshments upon their arrival at the Louis II Stadium. .
In order to facilitate traffic flow and parking, special measures will be implemented on the day:
- All Monaco Bus Company bus routes will be free of charge throughout the day of 29th November.
- The Pêcheurs and Louis II Stadium car parks will also be free for the event, provided that you enter the car park between 9.30 am and 11 am. You may exit at your convenience – no payment will be required when you pass your ticket through the check-out machine or at the exit barrier.
