The 12th annual charity fundraiser dinner, hosted by Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou and the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation, raised an impressive €600,000 in support of WWF and the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation. Held with the honored presence of HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco and Dr. Adil Najam, President of WWF International, the event focused on raising awareness and funds to protect the Mediterranean’s invaluable seagrass meadows.

Seagrass meadows play a crucial role in supporting thousands of marine species, while also helping regulate the climate by storing carbon. This year's funds will directly aid initiatives to preserve these vital ecosystems, particularly within Greek waters and the broader Mediterranean region, which are home to a rich diversity of marine life.

The dinner saw the gathering of 50 committed philanthropists, whose contributions have been pivotal in furthering the cause of marine conservation in the Mediterranean. Their generous support demonstrates the ongoing commitment of the global community to environmental stewardship and marine biodiversity protection.

As the evening drew to a close, guests left inspired by the evening’s message: the urgent need for environmental protection and collective action. With the funds raised, the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation, WWF, and the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation will continue their vital work in preserving the unique marine landscapes of the Mediterranean. This gathering stands as a testament to the power of philanthropy in combating ecological challenges and securing a future where nature and humanity can thrive together.
