The Vendée Globe Foundation and the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation formalise a partnership to help preserve the ocean

On Friday 8 November, in Les Sables-d'Olonne, the Vendée Globe Foundation and the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation formalised a partnership agreement to protect marine ecosystems, demonstrating the desire of both organisations to take concrete action to preserve natural resources.
In the presence of HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco and Mr Alain Leboeuf, President of the Vendée Globe, Mr Gilles Sallé, President of the Vendée Globe Foundation and Mr Olivier Wenden, Vice-President and CEO of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation ratified this collaboration, which will see a Vendée Globe skipper take part in the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation's programme dedicated to young leaders, as well as unprecedented cooperation in terms of support for scientific projects in the oceanic and technological fields.
The two
institutions will thus be working together, based on the shared values of
sports, sailing and respect for the ocean, with the ambition of encouraging
more environmentally-friendly behaviour and promoting sustainable initiatives,
while supporting future generations.
