Arctic Regional Management Approaches

This international interdisciplinary workshop brought together economic and scientific experts with the aim of identifying measures and the way of sustainably managing the Antarctic ecosystems, and determining the areas whose ecological and biological potential should be considered important for the conservation of the ecosystem. As a result recommendations were put forward intended for political leaders for the sustainable management of these areas. The results of scientific research on fauna and flora, as well as detailed mapping, were discussed in order to improve the understanding of the ecology of this environment.
