The goal of the programme is to establish a framework for the sustainable management of biomass in the Chefchaouen province of Morocco. Until now, wood was the only useable fuel that has led to deforestation issues.
The aim is to provide energy self-sufficiency to the rural populations, by making high-performance equipment available to them using local biomass as fuel. The project will enable comfort-enhancing amenities, such as solar cookers and hot water for bathrooms and heating, to be installed in these remote regions.
