The aim of the project is to set up semi-modern, non-polluting and autonomous facilities for the cold storage of perishable goods.
Designed for rural areas in hot and dry regions with no means to electricity, the facilities use a technological refrigeration approach based on radiant cooling coupled with sensible heat storage and diurnal thermal insulation.
These facilities enable autonomous cooling production, which is decentralised with no greenhouse gas emissions. They contribute towards the development of the agricultural sector by involving local farmers in the project.
