Visualization of environmental change

The aim is to set up international workshops during which experts in natural sciences and photography will run classes for local students. The project aims to describe and visually document environmental changes in order to send a powerful message to the general public as well as to the natural science and photography communities.  The funding requested covers the travel and accommodation expenses of future participants in the workshops set up by the Oulanka research centre, as well as the cost of any special equipment necessary (e.g. photo printer, field microscope) and the cost of presenting the results at the Kuusamo annual nature photography festival; a book of photographs showing the results of the workshops will also be produced.
